New Delhi, Aug 20: Indian shooting has earned fresh recognition with the National Rifle Association of India congratulating Akhil Sheoran, Dhanush Srikanth and Rudransh Khandelwal on receiving the Arjuna Award. Coach Neha Nandkumar Chavan was honoured with the Dronacharya Award.
The awards recognise their contribution and achievements in shooting. Sheoran was recognised for his performances in shooting, while Srikanth and Khandelwal have made their mark in deaf and para-shooting respectively.
Chavan’s honour highlights the important role of coaching in developing athletes through training, discipline and technical guidance.
The recognition comes as Indian shooting continues to strengthen its presence across Olympic, para and other competitive disciplines. The honours are also expected to inspire young shooters to pursue the sport with greater confidence and determination.
The awards celebrate not only individual success but also the dedication of athletes and coaches who continue to contribute to the growth of Indian shooting.
